Our Story

Built by a Mother Who Couldn't Find What Her Children Needed

Activ8 Learning Center was born out of a mother's determination. Founder Anna Laboon spent years navigating the complex world of special education for her own two children — experiencing firsthand the isolation, confusion, and exhaustion that so many families silently endure. She didn't find the support she needed, so she built it.

Rather than creating another large tutoring franchise, Anna built an education boutique in Newport Beach grounded in one simple belief: every child deserves the kind of education you'd want for your own. Activ8's holistic model brings together customized instruction, specialist partnerships, and hands-on family advocacy under one roof — so no family has to fight alone.

Today, Activ8 serves families across Newport Beach with a team that combines deep academic expertise with genuine human empathy.
