Our Story
Acupuncture Atlanta was founded in 2001 by Warren Cargal, L.Ac., who discovered the transformative power of acupuncture after years of suffering from migraines that prescription medications couldn't resolve. After experiencing six months of relief from a single course of treatments, he dedicated his life to bringing this ancient medicine to Atlanta.
Warren and a small group of acupuncturists lobbied the Georgia legislature to legalize acupuncture, directly leading to the passage of the Georgia Acupuncture Act. Today, the clinic has grown to include three acupuncturists alongside chiropractic, kinesiology, massage therapy, and energy medicine practitioners.

I started seeing Warren at 42 with irregular periods, heavy bleeding, and constant sinus infections. After about a year of treatments the sinus infections were completely gone and my periods were normal. I then met someone and amazingly became pregnant. It has so profoundly changed my life.
I was miserable from daily, pounding, viselike headaches. I underwent about 10 acupuncture treatments and began taking Chinese herbs. I haven't had another severe headache since then — and that was over a year ago! Another great benefit was the unexpected energy boost I felt afterwards.
I had been through ART twice, resulting in two miscarriages. I started acupuncture for fatigue. After months of treatments, my emotional and physical condition was the best it had been in years. Common Questions
Most patients are surprised to find acupuncture is virtually painless. The needles are very fine — much thinner than a hypodermic needle. You may feel a slight sensation of pressure, warmth, or tingling, which is actually a sign that the treatment is working.
Every patient is different. After your first treatment, we'll create a personalized plan. Acute conditions may resolve in a few sessions, while chronic conditions typically require a series of treatments. Many patients notice significant improvement within 4–6 visits.
Yes. Acupuncture has helped many of our patients with natural fertility as well as in conjunction with IVF and ART procedures. We have many success stories of patients achieving healthy pregnancies after months of treatment.
