Four generations of family craft on Main Street. Walk in, take a seat, enjoy a cup of coffee, and leave looking sharp.
Not a salon. Not a franchise. A real barber shop, the way it was meant to be.
Our barbers have decades of experience each. No fresh-out-of-school apprentices — just seasoned hands that know exactly what they're doing.
No apps, no waiting lists, no tipping prompts on a screen. Walk in, grab a free cup of hot coffee, and enjoy the wait. This is how it should be.
The same chairs, the same corner of Main Street, the same family. We've been cutting hair here since Truman was president — and we're not going anywhere.
From first haircuts to grown-up trims, we've served every generation. Bring your son in for his first barber shop experience — he'll remember it forever.
The best conversations in Bellevue happen in our chairs. Sports, community, life — come for the cut, stay for the camaraderie.
Yearbooks dating to 1924, sponsored local teams, helped build Bellevue High's stadium. We're not just in this community — we helped build it.
Classic cut for gentlemen of all ages
12 and under — first cuts welcome
Clean, sharp, and classic
Shaped and groomed to perfection
The full treatment — a timeless luxury

Bellevue Barber Shop has been on Main Street in the historic district of Old Bellevue since 1947, when Ward Russell first opened its doors. His brother Norm joined in 1952, and together they built one of Bellevue's most beloved institutions.
Through the decades, the Russell and Hester families have kept the tradition alive. Today, Kurt Hester — Ward's grandson — and Todd Russell — Norm's grandson — carry the torch, joined by barber Tim Holman, who ran his own shop in Eastgate for 30 years.
The shop is small and quaint. The atmosphere, fun and inviting. And the mission has never changed: deliver a quality cut while giving fathers and sons a place to bond with each other and their community.
"Stop in today, and get yourself in on a little piece of history."
Ward Russell began collecting Bellevue High School yearbooks in 1942, eventually obtaining volumes stretching back to 1924. The oldest was published by a father whose son was among just three graduating seniors — a man who ran a press on the Eastside and published the local newspaper.
Today, those yearbooks still line the shop walls. Generations of Bellevue families stop in just to flip through them and remember. The oldest volumes have since been donated to the Bellevue Heritage Society for the whole community to enjoy.
Ward and Norm also helped build the Bellevue High School Stadium, sponsored local athletic teams, and bowled in local leagues. The shop has always been more than haircuts — it's been the heartbeat of this neighborhood.
Co-owner • Ward's Grandson
A Bellevue resident most of his life, Kurt has been cutting hair at the shop for over 35 years. When not in the chair, he's hunting, fishing, camping, or riding the Pacific Northwest's backroads on his Harley.
Co-owner • Norm's Grandson
30 years of cutting hair around the Seattle area. Todd joined the family shop when his father Vic retired. Off the clock, he's chasing par on the golf course or hunting for that perfect score at the bowling alley.
Barber • Joined 2017
Tim ran his own barber shop in Eastgate for 30 years before joining the Bellevue Barber Shop team in 2017. His experience and craftsmanship are a natural fit for a shop built on decades of excellence.
