Since 1976, Cantor's Driving School has been a family-owned fixture of Arizona driver education. We've trained more than 100,000 students — teenagers taking the wheel for the first time, adults building independence, and experienced drivers sharpening their skills. That half-century of trust wasn't built on marketing — it was built lesson by lesson, one nervous student at a time.

We serve all of Maricopa County, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Peoria, Chandler, Gilbert, and Glendale, with offices also in Tempe and Tucson. And we come to you. Our free door-to-door pickup removes every logistical barrier between you and getting your license.

As an ADOT-authorized provider, Cantor's is one of the few driving schools in Arizona empowered to administer your final evaluation and issue your road test waiver directly.

Need to Know

Yes — Arizona state law requires all students to hold a valid Arizona Instruction (Learner's) Permit or a valid Arizona Driver's License before any lesson begins. No exceptions can be made.

We serve all of Maricopa County, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Peoria, Chandler, Gilbert, and Glendale. We also have offices in Tempe and Tucson.

A Road Test Waiver, issued by ADOT-authorized schools like ours, replaces the standard MVD driving test. Students who complete our Green Light or Extra Mile package receive a final evaluation from us, and we issue the waiver — so you can get your license without scheduling a separate state road test.

Yes. Driving lessons run 7 days a week — Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6:30 PM. Night lessons are available in select areas.

Absolutely. We pick you up from and drop you off at your home, school, or workplace at no additional charge for every lesson.

Yes. Female trainers are available for students who prefer learning with a female instructor. Just let us know when booking.

We offer four packages: Red Light (1 lesson / 2.5 hrs, $230), Yellow Light (2 lessons / 5 hrs, $460), Green Light (4 lessons + road test waiver / 10 hrs, $650), and Extra Mile (5 lessons + road test waiver / 12.5 hrs, $750).
