Our Story

Two Clinicians.
One Mission.
Every Child.

Gilsenan and Costa was founded by Kimberly Gilsenan and Jamie Costa — two clinicians who shared a belief that exceptional clinical care and genuine warmth should never be mutually exclusive. Kimberly, a licensed speech-language pathologist with a Master's degree from Northwestern University and more than 20 years of clinical experience, and Jamie, a licensed occupational therapist holding dual Master's degrees from Mercy College and Fordham University, built this center from the ground up.

What defines our practice is the depth of collaboration — not only between our speech-language and occupational therapy teams, but with families, schools, and a network of consultants including a reading specialist, physical therapist, and psychologist. We see children not as diagnoses, but as whole people within the full context of their lives.

Our center is a place where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and grow. With a full sensory gym, specialized therapy rooms, and a team trained in a broad range of evidence-based programs, we are equipped to meet each child exactly where they are — and walk alongside them, and their family, every step of the way.
