Gulfcoast Physical Therapy delivers one-on-one, personalized care — because your pain, your injury, and your recovery are unlike anyone else's.
Physical Therapy · Occupational Therapy · Hand Therapy · Spinal Decompression
Private practice means we answer to you — not an insurance quota. Every session, every decision is made with your recovery in mind.
Every session is conducted directly with a licensed therapist — never handed off to an aide. You get expert hands on your recovery at every visit.
Your injury is unlike anyone else's. We design, monitor, and continuously adjust your rehab program based on your progress, goals, and lifestyle.
Founded by Kevin Wicks and Tom Gilberti — each with over 20 years of hands-on experience — Gulfcoast has earned its reputation as a top Sarasota private practice.
We invest in the latest tools — including spinal decompression therapy — to give you every possible advantage in your recovery journey.
Our 1,500 sq ft facility features treatment tables, two private rooms, a full rehab area, and a dedicated OT/hand therapy space — all in a calm, welcoming environment.
We verify your insurance coverage and benefits before your first visit — no surprises. We work with major carriers so you can focus on healing, not paperwork.
From elite athletes to geriatric patients — we treat people of all ages across four core orthopedic specialties.
Most shoulder problems fall into four major categories: instability, impingement, arthritis, and tendon tears. Our therapists identify the root cause and design a targeted recovery path.
Your hand has the densest concentration of nerve endings in the body. Our Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) specializes in restoring function after injury, surgery, or chronic conditions.
Because of its function and range of motion, the neck is highly vulnerable to injury. We treat cervical and lumbar conditions with manual therapy, exercise, and spinal decompression.
Your knee is made up of many important structures — bones, cartilage, ligaments, and tendons. We restore strength, stability, and pain-free movement after injury or surgery.
Founded in 2003 by Kevin Wicks, PT and Thomas Gilberti Jr., AT/L, Gulfcoast Physical Therapy & Performance Center quickly became one of the most successful outpatient private practices in Sarasota, FL.
With over 20 years of experience each, Wicks and Gilberti built Gulfcoast on a philosophy that has never wavered: treat every individual as an individual. Their relationships with the top doctors and surgeons in Sarasota ensure seamless, coordinated care throughout your recovery.
In 2012, Gulfcoast expanded by adding Occupational Therapy — bringing in one of the best certified hand therapists in the region to serve the local community with specialized upper extremity rehabilitation.
Whether treating professional athletes or geriatric patients, Gulfcoast addresses and treats people of all ages with the same commitment to excellence.
"Offering one-on-one professional care in a casual and relaxed atmosphere — to make our patients enjoy their rehabilitative experience."
We continually invest in the most advanced therapeutic technology to give our patients every possible advantage in recovery. Our newest addition — Spinal Decompression — is a proven, non-surgical approach to relieving debilitating spine-related pain.
This state-of-the-art system gently relieves pressure on the discs and nerve roots of the spine, creating a negative pressure environment that draws herniated or bulging disc material back into position — promoting natural healing.
