The Racanello name has been synonymous with floral excellence since 1925. Brothers Jack and Peter Racanello — seasoned by years at Stamford's Latham Florist and celebrated flower shops in Boston and New York City — established Racanello Florist in 1935. By September 5th, 1936, they had opened their flagship at 187 Main Street, Stamford, joined by brother Ambrose as a master floral designer.
Meanwhile, Peter Racanello took his craft to the highest levels in Manhattan — first to the famed Sherry Netherlands Hotel Florist, then in 1937 to his own Peter's Flowers NYC in the landmark Herald Square Building at 1350 Broadway. The family's Manhattan legacy continues across multiple prestigious Midtown locations to this day.
