Nearly a Century
of Service.

The Baker family has called Colorado home since 1937, when Harry and Mary Baker arrived as part of the Dust Bowl pioneer movement — 10-year-old Lloyd in tow. Lloyd grew up across Colorado's small communities, served in both World War II and the Korean War, and after graduating from the University of Colorado, found his true calling in insurance. In 1958, he opened his first agency right here in Boulder.

Rick Baker joined the family business in 1984, and the ethos Lloyd built — answering the phone during hailstorms, showing up for clients when it matters most — has never wavered. Rick's son Ethan now carries that legacy into the next generation, ensuring the Baker name continues to stand for personal care and genuine expertise.

Today, Rick Baker Insurance is the second largest Chubb agency in Colorado, licensed to serve clients in more than 37 states. Through decades of growth, one thing has never changed: our commitment to treating every client like a neighbor. In Boulder, most of you are.
