Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Children and adults of all ages can benefit from speech-language therapy. Whether you're a toddler with a language delay, a school-age child struggling with reading, a teenager with social communication challenges, or an adult recovering from a stroke — Talk SLP is here to help.

Orofacial myology addresses improper muscle function of the face, mouth, and throat. Tongue thrust is a swallowing pattern where the tongue pushes against or between the teeth, which can affect speech clarity, bite alignment, and dental health. Our certified orofacial myologist, Laura S. Smith COM, specializes in this area.
