Our Story
We are an award-winning barbershop located at 121 West Trade Street — in the heart of uptown Charlotte, NC. Owner and barber Jill Matthews opened The Cut in 2010 with a singular vision: give men the traditional, exceptional services they've enjoyed for centuries.
Jill brings years of expertise not just behind the chair, but in building a thriving community barbershop — managing, growing, and nurturing a loyal client base that keeps coming back.

Absolutely. When booking, you can request your favorite barber or stylist. If you don't have a preference, we'll take care of you with the first available professional.
Beard trims and neck trims must be booked by calling us directly at (704) 405-0800. These services aren't available through the online booking system.
