Parents are part of the success equation. Coaching and group workshops help parents understand the strategies Maryann teaches and stay actively supportive between sessions.
$175/hr one-on-one · $70/person group
Unlike large tutoring companies with a revolving door of college students, you get a single dedicated expert who knows your child's learning habits, interests, and challenges intimately.
From NY State standards and Regents exams to the SHSAT and competitive high school entrance tests, Maryann knows exactly what NYC students need to succeed.
Students with ADHD, anxiety, language processing disorders, or low confidence aren't edge cases here — they're exactly who this work is designed for.
Maryann is equally skilled teaching side-by-side in your home or live on Zoom, and can build a flexible plan that fits your family's schedule and needs.
No off-the-shelf lesson plans. Every student gets a personalized curriculum developed to close their specific gaps and push their specific strengths.
Students and parents gain access to a virtual resource hub, a YouTube channel, and group workshops — extending the learning long after each session ends.
"After just a few sessions with Maryann my daughter not only felt well supported, but also knew that she'd learn a lot with her. Maryann is very thoughtful and very good at breaking down concepts to help you understand every aspect."

We start with a conversation — about your child's current struggles, goals, and learning style — so I can understand what kind of support will make the biggest difference.
In early sessions I assess where your child is genuinely stuck, separating surface-level errors from the deeper conceptual gaps or habits that are holding them back.
I design a curriculum and session structure specific to your child — not a template, but a real plan calibrated to their grade level, subject needs, and learning pace.
We meet regularly — in person or online — working through problems and revisions in real time, so errors are caught and corrected the moment they happen.
As your child improves, the plan evolves with them. I stay in communication with parents and adjust goals as skills sharpen and confidence grows.
I work with students in grades 2 through 12 across math (including Algebra and Geometry), English and ELA, writing, reading comprehension, executive functioning, and test prep. I also offer French, creative writing, and public speaking.
Both. I provide in-home tutoring and sessions at libraries or coffee shops for NYC families, and I'm equally effective over Zoom. We can figure out the right format — or mix of both — for your child.
This is a core part of my practice. I've tutored many students with ADHD, anxiety, and receptive and expressive language disorders. I adapt the pace, structure, and teaching approach to each student's specific needs.
I prep students for the ISEE, SSAT, and SHSAT (NYC high school entrance exams), NY State standardized tests and Regents exams, and the SAT and ACT. I also help students build strategies to manage test anxiety.
One-on-one tutoring and executive functioning coaching sessions are $175 per hour. Student workshops are typically around $50 per student. Parent coaching workshops are $70 per person for group sessions.
You get one experienced expert — not a rotating cast of college students — who builds a real relationship with your child over time. I know the NYC school system deeply and create a personalized plan, not a generic curriculum.
I offer parent coaching sessions and workshops to help you understand what strategies I'm teaching and how to support your child between sessions. Parents being informed makes a real difference in outcomes.
Yes. In addition to one-on-one sessions, I run small-group student workshops throughout the year, offer a virtual resource hub and YouTube channel, and provide parent coaching — building a fuller support system around each student.
